A great fall drink, it’s “kinda appley, and rum-ey, but maybe a little….citrus-ey…it’s all of those things.” –John Smith
- 1 1/2 oz dark rum
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz apple simple syrup (see recipe below)
- 1/4 oz Patron orange Liquor
- Mint sprig and lemon twist, for garnish
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until cold.
Serve over ice and garnish with a mint sprig and a lemon twist.
For the apple- brown sugar simple syrup:
- 1 packed cup apple peels
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Strain liquid, the syrup is now ready for use.
